    Sports Car Bad

    Sunday, March 30, 2008, 2:38 AM [General]

Today was a good day. I spent the better part of it with my daughter (which was very cool), got to see my dad, and got to see some of the people from the guild. Also on the way home, I stopped by a friend’s house that I have not seen in a long time and talk with them for a while.

On the way home, though I did have a point driven home; ERIC DOES NOT NEED A SPORTS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!

I get on to 680 going home and come across a BMW (that sounds very healthy) a Corvette, and a Lexis doing about 80 – 90 up the grade. Well I figure lets fallow them and play a little bit. So; after making it through Milpitas, and most of the way through Sonol I look down and we are doing about 105! No worries all is good and traffic is light. I get off in Dublin for some gas, and then continue on my way home. All goes mellow tell I get on to 132, and then it happens. I get behind a Mercedes fallowing a Corvette that is going slow (40-50). Well this is just not going to work for me, this is a 60 + road. I get an opening and pass them both (Hondas Rock.) The Mercedes fallows me around the Vette, so I poor it on to get out of his lights. This did not work because he felt like playing. So there we were flying down 132 about 100 or better! This guy is keeping up with me!?!?!?!? NO WAY!!! 132 is not a strait road 60 is comfortable, 70 is getting fun, 80 you will tap the brakes now and then, 90 is starting to push it, 100; well, let’s just say that about 5 minutes after I got home my tires were still a bit on the worm side.

I think that I can say that this is the first time that I have had some one on my ass most of the way home. Anyone that knows me or that has ridden with me knows that I tend not to drive slow, so the point is made once again. It is proven that I should NOT get something that is faster, or handles better than my Honda!!! But it was A LOT of fun!!!!

    Just a nice day

    Sunday, March 23, 2008, 3:04 PM [General]

Ya know this is what it is about; a temped spring day with a lazy breeze teasing the leaf’s of the trees. The Red tail hawks floating on the thermals crying occasionally to remind you that they are watching you.  The musky sent of horse sweat gently getting stronger as you work your way up to the top of the hill for a better view. The warmth of the sun kissing your skin so that there is no chill.

Why do I live where I do, well I think that about says it all. That was just the morning, where to go from here?
